Former first lady Victoria Aguiyi-Ironsi dies at 97

  Wife of late Nigerian Military Head of State, Major General J.T.U. Aguiyi-Ironsi, Victoria, is dead. The former First Lady died peacefully on Monday morning, August 23 at the age of 97. She would have been 98 on November 21, 2021. Her husband, and the Supreme Commander of the National Military Government, was killed on July 29, 1966. Chief Mrs. Victoria Aguiyi-Ironsi never re-married.

An aggrieved student allegedly left a 'sacrifice' in front of a staff’s office in Michael Okpara University, Abia State. 

The student who allegedly threatened to send some staff of the Biochemistry department of the institution to their early grave disclosed that there is no seriousness in resolving the issues 400 level students of the department have. 

Names of staff of the department were also listed by the aggrieved student who also accused the Head of Department of not always being around.
